Current statistics suggest that 3 in 5 Canadians will develop cancer in their lifetime. Coupled with trends toward increased survival, dentists will be seeing an increasing number of patients in their practice who have been diagnosed with cancer and are due to start cancer treatment.

After completing this course, the participant should have the fundamental knowledge that allows them to safely prepare their patients dentally (extractions, restorations and other surgical procedures) before undergoing cancer treatment.
