Dr. Mandeep Johal

Dr. Mandeep Johal graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2010 and has been pursuing continuing education ever since. She first became interested in learning why her 3 year old's teeth were crowded and this curiosity led her to learn more about oral myofunctional therapy, airway dentistry, sleep dentistry, nutrition,TMJ and orthotropics, science of facial growth guidance.

She is certified to perform laser surgery by the American Board of Laser Surgery. She is also a member of the International consortium of Oral Anklyofrenula Professionals and a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. In addition, as a AAPMD airway Colab Chapter President for Toronto, Mandeep is building relationships with the community and collaborating with other long time and emerging leaders in the field.

Mandeep also operates a general dental practice in Guelph, Ontario with a knowledgeable team who is airway focused and understands the whole body connection. The response and feedback from her frenectomy patients, mothers, children and adults has been overwhelmingly positive and rewarding. Some patients travel as far as 6 hours to get the best treatment for themselves and their families.

Dr. Johal has treated over hundreds of tongue-ties to date and she continue to grow her practise with close to 30% of her practice time dedicated to treating airway and tongue ties patients. Moreover, Dr. Johal strives to help other professionals provide the same level of care and achieve the same satisfaction of helping optimize their patients' lives through teaching about tongue ties.
