In this video, we talk about Dentigerous Cyst in detail! Dentigerous Cyst is one of the most common cysts occurring in the mandible and maxilla. Almost always it is associated with an unerupted tooth. When patient has a missing third molar especially, a swelling around it can give a dental surgeon an idea of the presence of a dentigerous cyst, although not confirmed as yet.

To reach a definitive diagnosis, histology is the most important tool to use. Radiology along with it helps in determining the extent to which the cyst has spread and to determine its location. All these methods then help in determining the best treatment option for the patient.
