Abdullah C. Akman graduated from Hacettepe University School of Dentistry in 2001. Then, started his Periodontology training in the same Institution. He was promoted as Professor in 2019 and serves as full-time faculty in Periodontology Department and he’s also the chair of Basic Sciences Department in School of Dentistry.

He’s currently a Master’s Degree candidate in “Stem Cell Sciences” program in Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute. He’s involved in in the Dental Implant training in undergrad and grad education programs. He’s currently a lecturer and educator of Strauman Group scientific programs. He’s scientific areas of interest are “Bone Biology”, “Regenerative Medicine” and “Implant Dentistry”. His scientific research activities received national and international awards: 2006 ICOI- “Platinum Award”- 2010 ACTA Od. Scand. “Best Research Paper”, 2018 Turkish Association of Cancer Research ‘Best Research In Oncology”.
